My name is Nana Afua Yinka
I am a woman born of a vow,
In the Akan tradition, the name Yinka is not given lightly. It is a name of reclamation. It is given to the child who was called back from the threshold of the spirit world to stay, to anchor, and to remain. My very existence is the result of a ritual rite performed to stop the cycle of loss. Because I was born to “remain,” my life has been a series of deep crossings where I had to learn how to keep my flame lit while everything around me shifted.
I created Yinka.coach for the seekers who are tired of drifting. If you are paralyzed by the fear of loss, fear of losing what you’ve built. Know this: I am Yinka. I am the one who remains.
